Commercial Roofing Experts

To ensure that our clients receive the best value for their roofing dollar, Nurnberg's estimating team continuously analyzes different roof materials and components, so that we may provide our clients with sufficient information and roof material alternatives to make the best roofing decision possible. Our extensive experience with a wide variety of roofing materials is the key to our ability to provide a cost-effective solution for our client’s roofing needs.

Thermoplastic Polyolefin & Polyvinyl Chloride

TPO & PVC is a single-ply roofing system and comes in a variety of widths and thicknesses. TPO & PVC applications are known for having very strong seems(heat welded). It can be installed by being fully adhered or mechanically attached. An advantage is that single-ply systems often can be installed over existing roof systems, which can provide an economic alternative.

Industrial & Commercial

At Nurnberg Roofing, we focus on long-term repair solutions and techniques depending on your facility's needs. Anyone can patch a rusty spot in a metal roof or replace a panel with a new sheet. There are different services we can provide to you for your metal roof system, including our Flute Fill System, Commercial Coating Systems, or a complete removal and replacement of new panels.
Before and After

Modified Bitumen & Built Up (BUR)

Modified Bitumen and BUR roofing are an asphalt-based solution designed for buildings with low slope or "flat" roof structures. Modified Bitumen systems consist of asphalt with modifiers added to give it durability. These are either one-, two-(most common), or three-ply systems. They are factory manufactured and combine the redundancy of built-up roofing with the ease of application of a single-ply system.

Built-up roofing systems (BUR) consist of layers or plies of roofing felts, between which asphalt or bitumen is applied. Built-up roofing is one of the oldest and most durable systems available. They are easy to repair and ideally suited for applications requiring a high level of redundancy.

Flute Fill Technology

Metal roofing systems are known for their architectural beauty and their ability to withstand most elements, but even metal roofs over time can show signs of wear. Extensive exposure to extreme weather, UV exposure, and debris buildup will eventually take their toll on even the well-maintained metal roof. The constant expansion and contraction of the metal under these harsh conditions can result in loose seams, rust, and corrosion, and will ultimately cause roof leaks and roof failure. While there are lots of quick remedies to these issues including waterproof coatings, these only temporarily can still be quite costly. Instead, consider replacing your metal roofing system with a TPO Flute Fill System. These retrofit solutions can provide a highly reflective membrane with increased energy efficiency, as well as Flute Fill EPS for improved insulation. Flute Fill EPS is an enclosed-cell, lightweight, rigid insulation board designed to fit in the valleys of the existing metal roof. It can provide additional R-value to the building as well as dimensional stability for an added layer of insulation above it. If required, insulation can be added to even further enhance the R-value of the building and maintain a more consistent building temperature.

After the Flute Fill and any additional insulation are added to the building, the single-ply TPO membrane is attached by mechanical attachments or fully adhered using TPO bonding adhesive using TPO bonding adhesive. The TPO Flute membrane provides a water resistant barrier with UV and puncture protection. Heat-welded seams offer leak-free security and are stronger than the membrane itself. The end result is a tough, durable roofing system able to withstand extreme weather conditions without the cost of tearing off the old metal roof.

By retrofitting your metal roof to a TPO Flute Fill System, you can:

  • Improve the interior building environment with a more insulated and regulated atmosphere.
  • Improve energy efficiency and save money on heating and cooling bills.
  • Reduce maintenance costs.
  • Minimize noise levels from hail and hard rains.
  • Protect your employees, inventory, and equipment.
